Synchronicity Quick Post

Almost twenty years ago a woman I worked with did a numerical "reading" of me based on my name and birthdate. Two things it revealed was that I have both an innate ability to get to the heart of a matter (who won the pool?), and that my life is filled with a touch of enchantment…

While I am not a big believer in the supernatural, I have noticed – especially as I've gotten older – that riding the synchronicity highway is getting easier every year… And that I "need" to get out of my own way, so that I can walk that walk more often… Because when I do, amazing things happen.

Damnation

As you can tell it's been awhile since I've posted on my blog. Lots of things going on, not the least of which is that I've been spending more time on sites like Facebook and Twitter, microblogging, and learning to use Web 2.0 social networking sites, than on more "macro" sites like my blog here or my athletics blog.

So, here's what's happening: first up is I finally got a job — back in the training industry. I am now a trainer at Gold's Gym in Loveland, so far only working part time, specializing (for those of you who might want to know) in corrective exercise (post rehab only), S&C, and fighter conditioning. I am also working on setting up kettlebell group training and to establish a class that I am (tentatively) calling Ground Games, which is a collection of solo drills pulled from my years in Judo, BJJ, Submission Grappling, Aikido, as well as stuff I've learned from Russian Sambo and Systema. If you have any interest in joining me, please let me know.

Secondly is that I've once again submitted my first novel to a publishing house called Damnation Books. They are a new publishing house specializing in "dark" fiction (where KOSC and ADR should fit right in). They publish in e-book and print on demand (POD). I sent my book in about ten days ago, so according to their website I have about seven weeks left until I hear whether they are interested in the novel. Wish me luck!

Thirdly, between job hunting, starting the new position, writing, training, commodity trading — you know the daily deluge that has been my life the last few months, I've also had to deal with an acute case of Insurance Industry bureaucratic dumbassery, an ongoing SEC investigation (of the company my wife and I invested with last year), another criminal investigation (where I've been called on to be a witness)… And I may have jury duty this coming week… Too much stress. Especially of an unnecessary nature — man made self-important dipshittery…

So, that's what's been going on here at case Kechter since the last time I wrote. I hope things are more settled and saner where you are!

Ciao for now!
